Who we are
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee ensures the proper development of the network’s mission and objectives in accordance with the quadrennial agreement. It consists of the Director of Higher Education at UNESCO, the President of the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP), who serves as the President of GUNi, and the Director of GUNi.
The Strategic Council is an internal body with the purpose of advising the GUNi president and secretariat on matters essential for the advancement of the network. It also proposes initiatives and projects, prepares and announces international declarations and positions on relevant aspects of higher education policy and management, and assesses the impact and quality of the GUNi-ICA project (2024-2026).

The network’s secretariat is located in Barcelona and is provided by the Catalan Association of Public Universities, which contributes the technical and administrative team as well as the necessary resources. Under the coordination of its Director, Josep M. Vilalta, the technical team implements the objectives and various annual programs and activities.
